Free stop smoking support
If you or someone you know is looking to quit smoking or stop using tobacco products, we’re here to help. You are up to three times more likely to quit if you use a combination of stop-smoking medication with specialist help and support from your local support service.
Our friendly and experienced advisors offer free advice and support across Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, and Milton Keynes. We will help you overcome the challenges of quitting smoking. As well as support you to create positive habits. We can also recommend nicotine replacement therapy options to suit your individual needs.
How does it work?
In-person support
- Choose between one-to-one appointments or group sessions with an experienced stop-smoking specialist, at a location near you
- Get personalised advice on quitting aids like nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), medications, and vapes
- Receive expert help to adjust habits that might trigger smoking.
Telephone support
- One-to-one phone calls at a time that works for you, including evenings
- Support to find the right quit aids, from NRT to medications and vapes
- Behavioural support to tackle smoking triggers.
Allen Carr’s Easyway programme
- Group seminar led by a therapist who quit using this method. Available both online and in person
- One-time session (5 – 6 hours) with follow-up support if needed
- You can smoke up until and even during the seminar
- No medication or substitutes needed.
Who can use this service?
To be eligible to join our stop smoking programme you must currently:
Smoke or use tobacco products including chewing tobacco
Or be vaping and using home oxygen/about to start using home oxygen
Either:
- Live, work or study in Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire or Milton Keynes
- Be registered with a GP in Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire or Milton Keynes.
